Cong gearing up to revive ST cell in tribal areas
Opposition Congress has increased its political activities to strengthen their Scheduled Caste (ST) cell in the hilly areas of the state.
As part of their strengthening initiative of the party in the hills, the ST cell of Tripura Pradesh Congress on monthly basis organizes their meeting at Congress Bhavan and on Sunday’s meeting, the party has decided to complete their membership drive in tribal areas of the state by November end.
In the meeting, the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) led by state president Ashish Kumar Saha targeting the 2024 Lok Sabha elections has decided to appoint party workers for verification of voter list in all tribal areas and ST leaders has given responsibilities to appoint BLAs in every booths of the state at the earliest.
While, during the meeting altogether 17 ST voters under Kamalasagar assembly constituency joined the party, who were welcomed by Ashish Kumar Saha in presence of other ST leaders of the party.
