CPI (M) should support Congress candidates in both LS seats, Sudip

In order to strengthen the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (I.N.D.I.A), comprising 28 anti-BJP parties, the all opposition parties including CPI(M) should extend their support to Congress candidates in coming Lok Sabha elections in two seats of Tripura to ensure the victory candidates of I.N.D.I.A alliance , said Sudip Roy Barman.
On Saturday, permanent invitee member of Congress Working Committee (CWC) and MLA Sudip Roy Barman visited Belonia assembly constituency and attended an organizational meeting with party workers and leaders to strengthen the bases of the party before ensuing Lok Sabha elections.
The visit is said to be aimed at strengthening the Congress party organizationally ahead of the 24th Lok Sabha elections, including inquiring into the party workers to find out if there is any organizational weakness. On Saturday around eleven o'clock, he visited Bilonia and held a discussion meeting with the Congress leaders and workers at the district and sub-divisional levels. The meeting was held at South District Headquarters Belonia’s Congress Bhavan.
After the meeting, speaking media persons, Roy Barman referring the recent statements made by former Tripura Chief Minister and CPI(M) politburo member , Manik Sarkar said that the I.N.D.I.A alliance is a big tent political alliance of 28 political parties in India led by the Indian National Congress to ensure the defeat of BJP in coming Lok Sabha elections.
“It is not wise to made any statement over seat adjustment or fighting alone or together in the LS polls before finalizing any poll strategy by I.N.D.I.A alliance,” said Sudip and added that the central leaders of parties will decide the poll strategies over selection of candidates and which will contest from which seat over best possibilities to ensure defeat of BJP.
He said that any party can make their statements over the poll contest, but ultimately the I.N.D.I.A alliance will fix the fight strategy.
He said that if the Congress central leaders asked them to fight alone in the Lok Sabha elections, then the Tripura Pradesh Congress is ready to fight alone and if the leader directs to fight in alliance, then also Congress is ready. But, at the present situation , the CPI(M) and Left parties should support the Congress candidates in Lok Sabha elections as Congress can defeat BJP candidates in LS polls.
He also said that there is no work to bring law and order in the state, there is no food, the government is not on the side of the farmers, and the young generation of the state is getting associated with drug addiction.
He also slammed BJP government’s Sushasan-2 campaign (good governance ) and alleged that when the people of the state are fighting to earn their two square of meals, health, education and over all law and order situation deteriorating day by day, then Congress does not have any reply over ‘Sushasan’ campaign, which only reflects in the flexes and posters.
He added that various programmes will be undertaken to defeat the BJP by creating close relations with the people and the activities of the party have increased at its multiple times across Tripura. Apart from MLA Roy Barman, South District Congress President Mridul Patari, district Congress Committee Member Bholanath Dhar, former Minister Manindra Reang, Mahila Congress Leader Sampa Dutta, Youth Congress Leader Ajitab Majumdar and leaders of various branches of the Congress party were also present in the meeting.
