Defeat of BJP must in LS polls to ensure bright future of youths, Manik Sarkar
Without ensuring the defeat of BJP, the youths of the country cannot achieve the ultimate dream of a poverty free nation and employment opportunities for all, said former Chief Minister and CPI (M) politburo member Manik Sarkar.
Addressing the statewide youth convention of DYFI at Agartala town hall on Sunday, Sarkar said that the youths associated with DYFI have to earn the faith and confidence of a section of youths, who were misguided after a fake slogan by a particular political party and gave mileage to BJP to form government in Tripura.
In order to ensure the defeat of BJP in coming Lok Sabha elections, already 26 political parties are preparing the road map to form a democratic, secular and pro-people government with a common minimum agenda to free the country from BJP-RSS and the youths attached with DYFI should bring more youths in their fold for a greater fight against BJP, said Sarkar.
Sarkar claimed BJP publicly expressed their sympathy for the development of tribal population, but in reality they did nothing for the welfare of tribal people. He also asked why not the BJP led central government clear the 25 Amendment of the Constitution for devaluation of more power to the ADCs in 4 North Eastern States including Tripura based on the 6th Schedule.
He also asked why the BJP government could not make the Kokborok language under the 8th schedule of the constitution.
While addressing the gathering CPI (M) state secretary and MLA Jitendra Chaudhury urges the activities of DYFI to shun their depression and should show a path to the entire nation by defeating anti-people politics of BJP.
Slamming the functioning and policies of the BJP government, Chaudhury said like the first BJP government in Tripura, the second BJP government led by DR Manik Saha has also continued policies to deprive the common people of the state from their legitimate rights.
He also urged the youths of DYFI and TYF to strengthen their organizations and be ready for a greater movement against BJP in coming days.
