Departments must work more closely to resolve citizens’ issues: CM
A review meeting on the Task Monitoring System was held Tuesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha to discuss various issues affecting the state and strategies for their resolution. The meeting took place at the video conference hall of the Secretariat and was attended by secretaries and directors of various departments, along with the District Magistrates (DMs) and Superintendents of Police (SPs) of all eight districts of the state, who participated virtually.
During the meeting, Chief Minister held in-depth discussions on law and order in the state, various development works of PWD, healthcare system, infrastructure development in education, electricity, and the traffic congestion situation in Agartala city. He suggested the use of drones to identify areas under illegal cannabis cultivation and advised to take initiatives that build a positive image of the Police administration among the public.
He also directed the concerned department to consider mandatory provisions for vehicle owners in Agartala to have garages, to reduce traffic congestion. Additionally, the Health Department was instructed to ensure the operational readiness of oxygen plants and ventilator systems. The Chief Minister stated that the issues highlighted through the Task Monitoring System would form the basis for future development plans of the state. Praising the system, he urged all departments to work more closely and efficiently to resolve the problems faced by citizens.
