Drug addiction free India campaign held at Central Sanskrit University, Ekalavya campus
Central Sanskrit University, Ekalavya Campus at Lembucherra, organized a significant event namely, Drug Addiction Free India Campaign to raise awareness about the perils of drug addiction and promote a healthier, drug-free society. The event was graced by distinguished dignitaries and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and staff.
Dr. Umesh Mishra, Associate Professor and Head of the Vyakaran Department, served as the Chief Guest for the occasion. In his address, Dr. Mishra emphasized the importance of education and awareness in combating drug addiction, urging the youth to channel their energy toward positive and constructive activities.
The session was presided over by Prof. Makhlesh Kumar, Director of Central Sanskrit University, Ekalavya Campus, who highlighted the role of academic institutions in fostering a drug-free environment and nurturing responsible citizens. He commended the initiative for its alignment with the university’s commitment to holistic education and social welfare.
Dr. Nanda Dulal Mandal, Assistant Professor in the Shiksha Shastra Department and Coordinator of the event, played a pivotal role in organizing the campaign. Dr. Mandal underscored the need for collective efforts to eradicate drug addiction and shared insights on the psychological and social factors contributing to the issue. A pledge to promote a drug-free lifestyle was also administered by Dr. Asraf Alam Khan, faculty member of Yoga Department. Dr.Soumya jyoti Saha, Assistant Professor (Dharmashastra Dept.) coordinated on stage.
