Raising concerns over issues related to PRTC, investigation into unnatural death of former DGP and long-pending vacancies in various government departments, the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) and Tribal Youth Federation (TYF) submitted a deputation to the District Magistrate of West Tripura on Friday, addressed to the Chief Minister.
The representatives of the youth organizations stated that problems faced by students and unemployed youths in the state have been increasing. They highlighted that various complications related to PRTC certificates have caused difficulties for many students and job aspirants.
They further alleged that a large number of posts in different government departments have remained vacant for a long time, depriving unemployed youths of employment opportunities.
During the deputation, the organizations demanded immediate steps for filling up all vacant posts, resolving PRTC-related issues at the earliest, and ensuring proper investigation and necessary action in cases of unnatural deaths.
Speaking on the occasion, leaders of DYFI and TYF said that the government should take a more proactive role in addressing issues concerning students and youths. They stressed the need for increased employment opportunities, a transparent recruitment process and speedy resolution of youth-related problems.
The leaders also warned that if the demands are not addressed promptly, they would launch a larger movement in the coming days. Through the District Magistrate, the organizations urged the Chief Minister to take immediate and effective measures on the issues raised.
