Indian Army conducted the event on "Elimination of Violence Against Women" at Jacob Hall, Agartala Military Station on Monday. This special lecture aimed to raise awareness and inspire collective action to end all forms of violence against women, attracting participation from over 120 families, underscoring the significance of awareness in the current environment.
The session was led by Mrs. Rupa Deb, an experienced psychologist and mental health professional. She provided valuable insights into recognizing signs of abuse, supporting survivors, fostering a culture of respect and equality, and addressing the unique challenges faced by women in both personal and professional spheres. Techniques for building resilience and nurturing a supportive network for families of Army personnel were also introduced.
The event included an interactive session that facilitated meaningful discussions among participants. The objective was to strengthen community support systems, challenge harmful norms, and ensure safety, dignity, and equality for every woman.
