"The primary objective of establishing these schools, which follow a uniform curriculum nationwide, is to provide quality education to the children of central government employees when they are transferred from one location to another. These schools also admit students from state government employees and the general public in the remaining seats," Dr. Saha explained.
Furthermore, he informed that it has been mandated to establish at least one Kendriya Vidyalaya in each district of India, in accordance with the regulations set forth by the Kendriya Vidyalaya organization.
"To date, a total of 9 Kendriya Vidyalaya schools have been inaugurated in our state. Additionally, we have submitted a proposal for the establishment of another Kendriya Vidyalaya in Banduar, Udaipur, Gomati district. As part of this endeavor, 10 acres of land have been allocated, and temporary arrangements have been made, including classrooms, toilets, electricity connections, drinking water facilities, and accommodation for students and teachers, at a cost of Rs 25 lakhs," the Chief Minister stated.
The proposed Kendriya Vidyalaya in Udaipur, once approved and operational, will contribute significantly to the education sector, enabling students from various backgrounds to access quality education on par with national standards.
