Final tribute paid to veteran Journalist, news editor of Dainik Sambad, Pradip Dutta Bhowmik

The final tribute and last rites of veteran journalist and news editor of Tripura’s leading Bengali daily Dainik Sambad, Pradip Dutta Bhowmik completed on Monday evening at Battala crematorium ground in Agartala after his mortal remains were flown back to the city from New Delhi, who was passed away on Sunday afternoon while undergoing treatment at AIIMS.
On Monday afternoon, after his body was brought back to Agartala from Delhi, where the chairman of BCDB trust, Sanjoy Paul along with employees of Dainik Sambad and family members, a funeral procession started from Airport.
First, the mortal remains were brought to Nutannagar office of Dainik Sambad and North East Colors, where Agriculture and Power Minister Ratan Lal, Trust chairman Sanjoy Paul, executive editor of Dainik Sambad, Paramita Livingstone, trust member Dr Partha Pratim Saha, Pankaj Bihari Saha, Birat Dutta Bhowmik and media persons paid their floral tributes to the departed soul. Family members, and numerous well-wishers gathered to pay their respects.
Later, his body was taken to his ancestral home in Indranagar. Where, Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, Pradesh Congress president Ashish Kumar Saha, Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barma paid their final tributes.
Later, his body brought to Indranagar Yuva Santha club, then brought to Agartala press club, where Transport and Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC), Dipak Majumder, many eminent persons like Jahar Saha, former VC of Tripura University, Prof. Arunodhoy Saha, senior journalists including press club authorities, citizens paid homage paid their floral tributes.
Later, body brought to ‘Sambad Bhavan’ in Jagannath Bari road of Agartala city, where trust member Subrata Paul, senior advocate Purushottam Roy Barman, general manager of Dainik Sambad, Mihir Gupta and journalists of Dainik Sambad, North East Colors and other employees paid their floral tributes.
His mortal remains were taken from there to the Battala Crematorium, where the funeral rites of late Pradip Dutta Bhowmik were completed.
