Five drug peddlers with Brown Sugar arrested from city
The Agartala city police on Friday arrested five drug peddlers and recovered Brown Sugar, cash and Scooty under their possessions.
Giving details, officer-in-charge (OC) of East Agartala police station, Inspector Sanjit Sen said that based on the information of sale of contraband items near Shiv Nagar Modern Club area adjacent to main gate of MBB College, police team caught red-handed three drug peddlers, who were selling contraband items.
Later, over their interrogation statement, police have also arrested two more drug peddlers from Kalyani area of the city and a total of 16 grams Brown Sugar, 150 empty vials, cash amount of Rs. 1200 and scooty were recovered under their possession.
He said that all arrested drug peddlers were produced before a local court with police remand appeals for further interrogation under a specific case of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
