Five more books of retired police officer Pranab Sengupta released
Five more new books written by retired police inspector Dr Pranab Sengupta unveiled by three veteran editors of the state during a simple book unveiling programme held at Agartala press club on Friday afternoon.
All the five books written in Bengali published by Purnima Publishers and these are have book on “Nisthur Bastab” (stories), “Path aar Kotodur” (Poetry), “Chalaman Jiban” ( nobel), “Adarsha O Anupreranay Swadinotoor Bangali” (nobel) and “Life is an Adventure (essay).
With the publication of five books, so far retired police officer and writer Dr Pranab Sengupta has written 90 different categories of books, which have received tremendous response from readers.
Speaking in the book unveiling ceremony, three veteran editors including Sanjib Deb, editor of state’s leading English newspaper North East Colors, editor of vernacular daily ‘ Syandan Patrika’. Subal Kumar Dey and editor of ‘Tripura Darpan’, Samiran Roy appreciated the efforts of writer and his publishers Purnima Sengupta.
Speaking with the media, writer (retired police litterateur) Dr Pranab Sengupta during releases of five books said his wife and publishers Purnima Sengupta motivated him in his journey of literature and to write book after book, which attracted thousands of readers.
He said that apart from his present professional life as lawyer, continues his writing on different subjects and hoped that soon he will achieve the milestone of hundred books.
