“Fuelled by freedom, ride by friendship”, Maitri bike rally by AR
In order to commemorate 52 years of the 1971 war which resulted in the creation of the nation Bangladesh, Assam Rifles Sector in Agartala organized a Maitri Bike Rally christened as "Fuelled by Freedom, Ride by Friendship".
The rally, composed of soldiers and civilians, was flagged off from Indo-Bangladesh Maitri Bridge, Sabroom on Friday. Acting as a symbol of civil-military jointness the rally comprises 28 soldiers’ bikers and 35 civilian bikers who will traverse nearly 200 Kms and reach Agartala. The bike rally will be flagged on Vijay Diwas December 16 by the Governor of Tripura, Indrasena Reddy Nallu at the Albert Ekka War Memorial in Agartala.
