Health dept to focus on enrollment of 0-5 years children as agency of UIDAI
Directorate of Health Services of Tripura government has been on-boarded as State Registrar cum Enrollment Agency by Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) to focus on enrollment of 0-5 years of children.
Financial assistance has been provided by UIDAI to procure CELC Kits and DHS has successfully ordered 138 Kits in March 2025.
Going forward, in collaboration with UIDAI, Health & FW Department of Tripura government is going to conduct various training programs on Child Enrollment. Candidates have already been shortlisted. Zone wise training will be provided to the candidates who will act as an Aadhaar Operator from 1st week of May.
Health & FW Department plan to deploy them in State District Hospitals, Community and Primary Health Centers and Birth Registration Units (BRU) across the State and will start enrollment within this quarter.
The projected population of 0-5 years in Tripura is 2.86 Lakh and so far, 98k has given Aadhaar. Child Aadhaar generation for Tripura stands at 34% as compared to National Average at 38%.
Kiran Gitte, Secretary Health & FW Department in presence of Prof (Dr.) Tapan Majumder, Director of Health Services officially accepted over the Kits on April 22 in presence of officials of UIDAI.
