Holy Cross School, Agartala celebrates Parents’ Day
April 12, 2024, was another eventful day for the Crossians as they charmingly celebrated Parents Day 2024. The three-hour-long program began at 05:30 PM with the arrival of Tripura Governor , Indrasena Reddy Nallu.
The stage was set then for a formal program of speeches and felicitation, followed by a journey through the Indian education system from Ancient to modern India. The program resulted from months of research, planning, scripting, choreographing, relentless practice, and the energy-packed rendering of the Crossian crew.
‘At Holy Cross, we hold a special Parents Day celebration every alternate year, a testament to the profound role parents play in our students’ lives. We deeply value the partnership with our parents in shaping our students’ futures and believe our collective efforts will pave the way for a world where progress and peace coexist harmoniously.’
“We were truly honoured to have His Excellency, Shri Indrasena Reddy Nallu, Hon’ble Governor of Tripura, as our Chief Guest, Most Rev. Bishop Lumen Monteiro, CSC, Bishop of Agartala and Father George Jacob, CSC, Secretary of Holy Cross Educational Foundation as the guests of honour, Shri Subrata Chowdhury as parents’ representative, and several other dignitaries,” said principal , Father Jelsom Tom.
In his message, Governor i Indrasena Reddy Nallu urged parents to allow their children to follow their passions and highlighted the changing trends in education with the implementation of the National Education Policy 2020. Bishop Lumen Monteiro, CSC and Father George Jacob reiterated the Holy Cross Educational Charism of “Educating Heart and Mind.”
