Husband beaten to death in front wife, daughters at Jirania
In a bizarre incident, one private security guard of NIT, Agartala beaten to death in front of his wife and two minor daughters on Monday midnight at Bhadra Mistry Para under Jirania police station.
Police sources said that on Monday midnight Jirania police station received a phone call over an incident of murder and immediately, a police team rushed to the spot.
Giving details of the incident Additional SP( Rural) of West Tripura district said that victim man was identified as Ajit Debbarma (39), by profession a private security guard engaged at NIT, Agartala and a suspected group of miscreants on Monday midnight entered his house at Bhadra Mistry Para village, when Ajit and his wife Rita Debbarma along with their two daughters were in deep sleep.
Soon after entering the house, suspected miscreants started beating him along with sharp weapons at his bed and after ascertaining his death, they escaped from the spot. By the time, amidst hue and cry of his wife and two daughters, miscreants escaped from the spot.
Police added that they recovered the weapons of offence from a nearby jungle and the Forensic team started investigation by collecting all substantial evidence.
Police also said that preliminary investigation suggested that the victim man was killed by a number of miscreants with sharp weapons and police shifted the body to hospital morgue for autopsy.
Police said that they have registered a specific murder case against unknown miscreants and hoped that within a short period they will be able to resolve the mystery of murder and will also be able to arrest miscreants involved with the incident.
While, local sources said that the deceased Ajit Debbarma locally known as a gentle man and after report of his murder, a pall of gloom descended in the entire Bhadra Mistry Para village.
