The district and session court of Khowai district on Monday pronounced life imprisonment to a woman for the charges of murder to her husband.
Official sources said that accused woman Sabitri Tanti on the ill-fated night of March 11, 2022 last murdered her husband Rabindra Tanti by chopping his head with a ‘dao’.
After the incident Khowai police station registered a case under section 302 of IPC and submitted the charge-sheet before court. On Monday, the court of the District and Session judge of Khowai district sentenced her to life imprisonment under section 302 of IPC.
