I-Day award for seven police personnel
Altogether seven police personnel from Tripura have been conferred with different categories of President’s medals on the occasion of the 78th Independence Day celebration on Thursday.
Among the awardees figures from Tripura have been awarded the Police Medal (PM) for meritorious service. These six police personnel are Kamal Krishna Kalai, DySP of West Tripura district, Khirod Debbarma, Subeder (GD) of 8th battalion TSR, Nihar Debbarma, Hivildar(GD) of 12th battalion TSR, Sujan Kanti Chowdhury, constable of Special Branch of Tripura police, Nirmal Das, Naik (GD) of 12th battalion of TSR, and women constable Jayanti Chakraborty of Special Branch.
Apart from these, Home Guards and Civil Defence medal for meritorious service will be awarded to Home Guard Naba Kumar Sarkar. Al, the awardees will be awarded on the Republic Day, 2025.
