With the aim of imparting coaching to students and youths for competitive exams, computer literacy and physical training for various competitive exams, Patel Piyush Purushottam Das, Inspector General, BSF Tripura, inaugurated the Prahari Skill Development Center at Border Out Post  Bogabil in Khowai district on Wednesday. On the occasion, Neeraj Singh Jamwal, Commandant BSF was also present in presence of local villagers. This was stated in a press note issued by the BSF, Tripura Frontier, Headquarters, Agartala on Thursday.

During the function, the IG BSF Tripura Frontier also chaired a village coordination meeting and interacted with the villagers and youths. He apprised them regarding facilities  provided by   Prahari Skill Development Centre, which  includes coaching to students /youths for competitive exams, computer literacy and physical training for various competitive exams like SSC(GD)/CAPF/state police  exams, sewing and embroidery training  to local women to empower them  to earn a sustainable livelihood.

IG BSF Tripura Frontier also inaugurated Shaheed Samsher Vatika at Border Outpost R. K. Para in memory of Shaheed Shamsher Singh, Assistant Commandant, PPMG, BSF. Tree plantation was also carried out at BOP.

BSF is organizing skill development training to make the border population self-reliant and successful in getting employment.
