INDI alliance a ploy to deceive public, will fade away soon: CM
Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr Manik Saha on Tuesday criticized the CPI(M) and Congress for deceiving people in the name of the INDI alliance, stating that it would soon diminish to a single alphabet.
Addressing a massive gathering in Sabroom for BJP candidate Kriti Singh Debbarma, Dr Saha asserted that the CPI(M), which had governed the state for over 20 years, had caused its deterioration.
"During the CPI(M) regime, numerous people were killed across the state, and the situation was dire. However, in the 2023 Assembly Election, I emphasized that there should be no violence. Despite the opposition's attempts to sow confusion, they failed, as people understood that only PM Modi could drive proper development," stated Dr Saha.
He also highlighted that the UPA government was notorious for its scams, but with Narendra Modi assuming office as Prime Minister in 2014, the political landscape underwent significant changes.
"PM Modi is committed to securing the country, fostering socio-economic development, and working for all. BJP believes in unity. Thanks to PM Modi, after 500 years, the Ram Mandir was finally established. The INDI alliance was formed merely to deceive. In Kerala, the CPI(M) and Congress are at odds, yet in Tripura, they are in alliance. INDI will soon become a lone alphabet," he added.
During the program Former Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma, Former MLA Sankar Roy, Minister Tinku Roy, Youth leader Nabadal Banik was present.
