Library week observed at CSU, Ekalavya Campus
Central Sanskrit University, Ekalavya Campus of Lembucherra observed Library Week–2025 with great enthusiasm from 14th to 20th November 2025. A series of academic and creative activities were organized throughout the week to promote reading habits and to create awareness about the importance of libraries among students.
The celebration was inaugurated on 14th November in a formal ceremony. Prof. Makhlesh Kumar, Director of CSU, Ekalavya Campus, presided over the inaugural session as the Chairperson. Prof. Sushant Raj, Head of the Department of Sahitya, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while Dr. Umesh Chandra Mishra, Head of the Department of Vyakaran, attended as the Guest of Honour.
The National Library Week-2025, organized by Central Sanskrit University, Ekalavya Campus, Agartala, Tripura from 14 to 20 November 2025, concluded on 20 November 2025 with a grand closing ceremony.
The programme was presided over by Prof. Makhlesh Kumar, Director of the campus. Prof. BPM Srinivas, Head of the Department of Education graced the valedictory session as the Guest of honour. Dr. Vinod Kumar Mishra (Deputy Librarian-in-Charge, Central Library, Tripura University, and Tripura) chaired the valedictory session as the Chief Guest. Mr. Sudhangshu Soni, Professional Assistant, Central Library of CSU, Ekalavya Campus, was the Coordinator of this event. Students who actively participated and excelled in various competitive events organized throughout the week — such as book exhibition, debate, essay writing, painting, and quiz competitions — were felicitated by the Chief Guest, distinguished guests, and the Chairperson. All the staff and students participated actively in all the events on this occasion.
