Major administrative reshuffle, DM (Gomati) with 10 IAS, 1 IFS, 2 TCS officers transferred

In a major administrative reshuffle, altogether 10 IAS, one IFS and two TCS officers transferred on Tuesday including controversial District Magistrate (DM) of Gomati district, Tarit Kanti Chakma.

May 25 evening, when incumbent DM of Gomati district , Tarit Kanti Chakma refused to meet Tipra-Motha’s supremo Pradyot Kishore Debbarma, a statewide protest lodged by the Youth TIPRA Federation (YTF)  with demand of removal of DM.

 Later, Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha assured a delegation of Tipra-Motha leaders  for taking action against DM’s misbehavior and investigation by the Chief Secretary.

Finally, after a month, the DM of Gomati district was transferred on Tuesday, but he has been assigned with a bigger responsibility as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission , Agartala.

While, as per thenotification issued by the General Administration (Personnel and Training), replacing Tarit Kanti Chakma, another IAS officer Rinku Lather, incumbent ADM of Sepahijala district has given the charges of DM of Gomati district.

Incumbent Managing Director of National Health Mission (NHM) and Director of Tourism, Prashant Badal Negi has been relieved from the charges of MD, NHM.

DM of Dhalai district, Saju Vaheed has been transferred as MD of NHM with additional charges of member secretary of NHM. Incumbent Commissioner of Taxes and CEO of Tripura Jal Board, Vivek H B has been transferred as new DM of Dhalai district.

ADM of West Tripura district, Megha Jain has been transferred as director of Urban Development and CEO of Jal Board, Dr Shailesh Kumar Yadav, director of Industries and Commerce and CEO of Agartala Smart City Limited with more additional charges has been relieved from the charges of Director of Skill Development.

Incumbent ADM of South Tripura district, Pradip K has been transferred as director of Skill Development, IAS officer, Mihir Kanti Gop transferred as additional director of Urban Development department, while another IAS officer  Ajit Sukladas has been transferred and posted as director of Handloom, Handicrafts and Sericulture.

IFS officer, R Arun Kumar, incumbent director of Handloom, Handicrafts and Sericulture department has been repatriated to Forest headquarters in Agartala.

Two more TCS officers including the incumbent additional secretary of Finance department with more additional charges, Akinchan Sarkar has been additional charges of Commissioner of Taxes and Bijay Sinha, deputy magistrate of Unakoti district has been transferred as ADM of North Tripura district.
