Major transfer in police dept, 16 IPS, 16 TPS officers including ADGP, IGP, DIG, and SPs transferred

In a major administrative reshuffle, altogether 16 IPS, 15 TPS Grade-I and one TPS Grade-II including  ADGP, IGP, DIG and SP rank officers were transferred and posted to different wings of Tripura police on Monday.

The General Administration (Personnel and Training) department Tripura government through a notification issued on Monday said that ADGP(Training), M Raja Muragan has been additional charges of IGP(Administration), Avula Ramesh Reddy has been promoted and transferred as DIG (Headquarters) to IGP (Crime),  incumbent DIG of Southern Range and Northern Range, Ipper Manchak Dnyanoba has given additional charge of in-charge IGP (Law and Order) with DIG (Southern Range).

Present DIG (Crime) with additional charges of SP(SB) and SP(Vigilance), Krishnendu Chakravertty has been relieved from the charges of SP(Vigilance), Prabir Majumder has been posted as DIGP(Headquarters), Rati Ranjan Debnath has been given the charges of DIG(Northern Range), SP(Procurement) Bijoy Debbarma has been transferred as SP for Sepahijala district and incumbent SP(Traffic) Manik Das transferred as SP(Procurement).

While, controversial police officer and former SP of North Tripura district, Bhanupada Chakraborty , who was closed to the police headquarters after communal clashes in Panisagar has been transferred as Commandant of TSR 1st battalion. AIGP(Headquarters) Jayanta Chakraborty has been transferred as principal of KTDS Police Training Academy. Inclumbent SP of Sepahijala district, Bogati Jagadeeswar Reddy has been transferred a AIGP(Headquarters), Apan Jamatia transferred as commandant of DIGHP-AP, additional SP(Traffic) Ms. Sudhambika R now promoted and given the charges of SP(Traffic) and additional SP of South Tripura district, Mouryakrishna Chandrasekhar has also been promoted and given the charges of SP (South Tripura district).

Similarly, 15 TPS Grade-I officers including  Nabadwip Jamatia transferred as SP(Cyber Crime, Ranaditya Das as SP(Khowai district), incumbent SP(South) Ashok Kumar Sinha transferred as commandant of TSR 12th battalion, Piyamadhuri Majumder as SP(Anti-Narcotics), Ranadhir Debbarma as SP(Police Control), Badal Debbarma as SP(Communication) and two IPS probationer including  D Kudiarasu transferred ad SDPO(Khowai) and Rishabh as SDPO(Belonia).
