Man mowed down by speeding Agartala-D’Nagar local at Subhash Nagar
In a tragic incident one unidentified youth was mowed down by a speeding local train at Subhash Nagar area under Agartala GRP station on Friday evening.
Police sources said that the deceased man was yet to be identified and they recovered his body into many pieces and sent it to the hospital morgue for autopsy. Police added that they lodged an unnatural death (UD) case and started investigation to identify the man and whether the incident was suicide attempt or an accident.
Local sources said that the deceased man perhaps jumped in the middle of the railway track when a speeding Agartala-Dharmanagar local train passed through the track of Subhash Nagar under Agartala Government Railway police (GRP) station and he was mowed down by the train within seconds and cut her body into pieces. Locals also said that the way he was moving the track, seems, the man was suffering from mental depression.
