Minor gang raped in a moving car at Udaipur, two accused arrested
Two youths were arrested by Radha Kishore Pur Women police station on Friday after a 16-year-old was allegedly raped in a moving car at Gomati district of Tripura.
Police sources said that the minor had gone to her brother’s in-laws’ house on August 18 and her brother’s brother-in-law took her for a ride to the local railway station on August 21.
Accused brother-in-law along with the driver of the car allegedly raped her inside the vehicle and based on a complaint lodged by her family, the police have registered a case against the brother-in-law and the driver under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 4 (penetrative sexual assault) of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
The vehicle driver and her relative have been arrested and police have initiated further legal proceedings against both accused persons, said OC of the RK Pur Women police station . She said that the medical examination of the victim girl has been completed and police interrogation is underway.
