On the occasion of National Sports Day, the ‘Sunday on Cycle – FIT India’ programme was organized in Agartala with enthusiastic participation from around 60–70 cyclists. The initiative aimed to promote fitness, healthy living and an active lifestyle among people through cycling.

The programme was graced by the presence of Sports Minister Tinku Roy, Sukanta Ghosh, Secretary, Tripura Sports Council; L. Darlong, Director of Sports of Tripura government; Gopesh Debnath, Bicycle Mayor of Tripura, SAI Ambassador and PEFI State Coordinator; and Surendra Nidar, General Manager, RBI Agartala Office, along with other distinguished guests, officials and participants.

The event began with the participation of cyclists who undertook a ride from the designated starting point to the SAI Centre. The sight of cyclists riding together created a lively atmosphere and carried a simple but important message—that fitness need not always be complicated, and that cycling can be an enjoyable part of everyday life.

The enthusiastic participation of around 60–70 cyclists added considerable energy to the programme. The ride also served as an opportunity to bring together people from different walks of life around a common interest in fitness, sports and an active lifestyle.

The programme concluded at the SAI Centre, where towels were distributed among the participating cyclists as part of an initiative led by Arindam Gogoi of SAI. The thoughtful gesture was warmly appreciated by the participants and brought the programme to a pleasant close.

The event reflected the spirit of National Sports Day by encouraging people to stay active, make fitness a part of their daily lives and come together through sport and physical activity.
