National Sports Day commemorated with exciting volleyball match in Agartala

In a vibrant celebration of National Sports Day under aegis of Spear Corps, a friendly volleyball match was held between the Agartala Military Station team and the Umakanta Volleyball Academy team.

The Spear Corps of Indian Army through a press statement said that National Sports Day, observed annually on August 29, marks the birth anniversary of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand. This day serves as a reminder of the importance of sports and physical activity in fostering a healthy and active lifestyle. The friendly match between the Military Station team and the Umakanta Volleyball Academy team was a testament to this spirit.

The game witnessed a thrilling display of skill and teamwork from both teams. The players, showcasing exceptional athleticism and determination, kept the audience on the edge of their seats throughout the match. The army team renowned for their discipline and tact, faced off against the youthful vigour and enthusiasm of the college team.

The match not only highlighted the competitive spirit but also the camaraderie and mutual respect between the players. The event concluded with presentation of medals to the winning team and a pledge to continue promoting sports and physical activities with an aim to inspire more youth to take up sports and lead healthier lives.
