New born girl child buried, than thrown to river
In a heartrending incident, one mother after giving birth to a girl child allegedly buried her body at the courtyard of the house, later she again recovered the body and dumped it into Khowai river.
Sources said that this tragic incident was held at the ward number-6 of Shantinagar under Teliamura police station, where one lady identified as Priyanka Bhowmik after giving birth to a girl child at her house on Wednesday night allegedly buried the girl in their courtyard. Later, she again dug out her body from the underground surface and dumped the body at the river water of Khowai.
When, on Thursday afternoon, some local villagers sensing the incident asked the mother and they informed the matter to Teliamura police station.
Police rushed to the spot and for interrogation, brought one of the close relatives of Priyanka Bhowmik at the police station.
Sources based on the statements of the relative of Priyanka Bhowmik added that she gave birth to a dead child and for that reason they floated the body into river water.
