Odia Samaj Tripura bring free healthcare to Durgabari tea estate community

Odia Samaj Tripura, in a significant community outreach initiative, partnered with ILS Hospital, Agartala, to host a free health check-up camp at the Durgabari Tea Estate today. The camp successfully provided essential medical services to approximately 80 residents from the estate and surrounding areas like Laxmilunga, addressing the healthcare needs of children, women, and the elderly.

A dedicated nine-member medical team from ILS Hospital, spearheaded by Dr. Tushar Tudu, offered expert consultations across various specialties, including general medicine, orthopaedics, dermatology, and paediatrics. The initiative aimed to reach the communities with limited access to medical facilities.

Premananda Nath Sharma, Vice President of Odia Samaj Tripura, highlighted the organization's commitment to social welfare. "Our objective is to serve the community, especially those in remote areas," said Shri Nath Sharma. "Partnering with a reputed institution like ILS Hospital allows us to bring expert medical advice directly to the people's doorstep. The positive response today motivates us to continue these efforts and make a tangible difference."

The camp, which ran from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., was meticulously organized by Odia Samaj Tripura. Volunteers ensured a smooth experience for all attendees, managing registration and providing seating, drinking water, and food packets. Essential medicines were also distributed free of charge based on the doctors' prescriptions.

The event was facilitated by key officials of the Samaj, who oversaw the arrangements. The local community expressed profound gratitude for the accessible healthcare services, praising the joint effort as a vital service to the region.
