Over 2.84 Lakh state's farmers receive Rs 45.43 cr under PM-KISAN: CM

Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr Manik Saha on Saturday said that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, various steps have been taken to empower farmers and PM Kisan Samman Nidhi is a significant step in this direction.
Dr Saha said this while attending an event on the release of 20th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme.
On Saturday, Rs. 20,500 crore was virtually disbursed by the PM to honor the farmers across the country, including Tripura. Dr Saha said that a total of 2.84 lakh farmers from Tripura received Rs. 45, 43, 74,000.
“PM Modi from Uttar Pradesh has released the 20th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. We have listened to so many things from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Today, PM Modi has made the soldiers empowered. We know about Operation Sindoor. He has given threats that from Bihar no one will be spared. Within 25 minutes, the Air Force entered Pakistan, used drones, and destroyed nine camps of terrorists. India never attacks other countries. Before 2014, we have seen how our soldiers used to come under attack—attacks in Parliament. We know how the Taj Hotel was attacked. But during the then government, nothing was done,” he said.
Dr Saha said that PM Modi has been working for each and every person.
“Today, through DBT, which was not there earlier, our government is a transparent government—there is no middleman. Now, money goes to farmers’ accounts directly through DBT. In three installments, farmers receive Rs. 6,000. From 2019, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi started. In Tripura, there are 2.90 lakh registered farmers. Last year, in the 19th installment, around 2,84,787 farmers received Rs. 844 crore 8 lakh 88 thousand. From an event held in Banauli, Varanasi, the Prime Minister virtually transferred Rs. 20,500 crore to the bank accounts of nearly 9.7 crore farmers across the country,” he said.
He informed that in Dhalai, Rs. 7.44 crore; Gomati, Rs. 7.24 crore; Khowai, Rs. 4.23 crore; North, Rs. 8.41 crore; Sepahijala, Rs. 5.34 crore; South, Rs. 5.94 crore; Unakoti, Rs. 3.17 crore; and West, Rs. 3.62 crore were disbursed.
“These funds were given through transparency. PM Modi has been working tirelessly for the farmers. We have 51,000 Lakhpati Didis. Under Fasal Bima Yojana, Rs. 10 crore 63 lakh was given; Rs. 2,252 crore under Kisan Credit Card. We have also started purchasing paddy from farmers at an MSP of Rs. 23 per kg, and so far, 2,25,365 MT paddy was produced from farmers and Rs. 446 crore received by farmers,” he added. During the event, Agriculture Minister Ratan Lal Nath and others were present.
