PM Modi declared Rs 2 Lakh to kin of deceased, Rs 50,000 for injured in flood: CM
Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha announced on Friday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sanctioned PMNRF ex-gratia relief of Rs 2 lakh for the next of kin of those who lost their lives in the floods and Rs 50,000 for the seriously injured.
On Facebook, Dr. Saha expressed his gratitude to PM Modi for the assistance extended to the flood-affected people of Tripura.
"Grateful for the support! My heartfelt thanks to Hon'ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji for announcing PMNRF ex-gratia relief of Rs 2 lakh for the next of kin of those who lost their lives in the floods and Rs 50,000 for the seriously injured," Dr. Saha wrote.
He further added, "Your compassion brings immense support in these difficult times."
During the flood situation, which affected the state from August 19 to 23, PM Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah were in constant touch with the Tripura CM, closely monitoring the situation and details regarding the flood.
During the situation, PM Modi and Union Home Minister Shah has sent additional NDRF, helicopters and boats.
