Proud moment as Agartala gets cleanest city recognition, says Mayor
The Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) was awarded as cleanest city of the country. Dy Mayor Manika Das Dutta received the award at a gala programme in New Delhi on Wednesday. Dy Municipal Commissioner M. Sajad also remained present at the event.
“It is proud moment for all us that the Agartala Municipal Corporation has been awarded under cleanest city category in the country. I thank all my corporators and officials for keeping the city clean and green”, Mayor Dipak Majumder told the media on Friday.
Majumder said the present mayor in councils has been focusing on cleanliness all round the state since 2018. “We are also working for keeping green cover in the corporation areas. The award is the recognition of the good works done by all the people. The citizens of the city also deserve appreciation for the award”, he said.
