Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will visit Tripura in December
All India Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi will visit Tripura in December next, said AICC secretary Ms Szarita Laitphlang.
Speaking with media persons Tuesday at Congress Bhavan in Agartala during a meeting of the party’s Women leaders and workers , Ms Szarita Laitphlang accompanied by Pradesh Congress president Ashish Kumar Saha said that after completion of entire poll process of five states, in the middle of December next , first Rahul Gandhi and then Priyanka Gandhi will visit Tripura Sundari temple and the two leaders of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) will meet with the party leadership on important issues including expansion of party and will detail discussion over the party’s preparation for next General Election of the country in 2024.
However, Ms Laitphlang added that both top leaders of Congress will come to the state separately and both will come in December
Later, speaking with media persons Ashish Kumar Saha stated that Rahul Gandhi has assured to visit the state after the assembly polls in five states get over for two days during their meeting with Gandhi at Agartala airport on October 16 last on his way to Mizoram.
"Rahul ji had a brief meeting with party leaders and wanted to know the condition of people in Tripura. He also gave suggestions on organizational matters. Gandhi will visit the state after completion of Assembly elections in five states - Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana, Chhattisgarh and Mizoram", he said.
