Rajib Bhattacharya will do commendable work for state if elect as Rajya Sabha MP: CM
Chief Minister Prof. Dr Manik Saha on Wednesday expressed confidence that Rajya Sabha candidate Rajib Bhattacharya will make significant contributions to the state's development after winning the upcoming Rajya Sabha election.
Dr Saha said this after accompanying the BJP candidate, Rajib Bhattacharya, as he filed his nomination papers for the election scheduled on September 3.
The Central leadership has announced the name of BJP president Rajib Bhattacharya as the BJP candidate for Rajya Sabha seat.
Speaking with reporters, Dr Saha said that for the vacant Rajya Sabha seat, Rajib Bhattacharya has been selected as the BJP candidate, supported by Tipra Motha and IPFT.
“Today, he submitted his nomination papers. I believe that just as he worked diligently as BJP president, he will continue contributing to Tripura's development after winning the election. For this, I would like to thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP National President JP Nadda, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah," he stated.
Several prominent figures were present during the submission of the nomination papers, including Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath, Food and Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, Chief Whip Kalyani Roy, Forest Minister Animesh Debbarma, and other cabinet members, MLAs, and top leadership from the BJP, IPFT, and Tipra Motha.
