Robbery in national highway, six miscreants arrested
Miscreants, who were involved with looting of valuable items from some motorbike riders in the Rastarmatha portion of national highway under Bishalgarh police station, were arrested.
Police sources said that on Saturday midnight, some motorbike riders after their visit to Matabari in Udaipur town were returning to their homes in Agartala through the national highway. When these youths reached at Rastarmatha area under Bishalgarh police station, some miscreants obstructed them and in the points of lethal weapons, they looted their mobile phones and cash amount of Rs. 5010 from their possession.
After the incident, the victim youths somehow managed to reach the Naka point of police at the national highway and narrated the snatching incident. Immediately, all night patrol teams of police were actively involved to arrest miscreants and within one hour of the incident, Bishalgarh police managed to detain the car and a group of six miscreants from Uttam Bhakta Choumohani .
Police added that all victim youths identified six miscreants as Antar Miah, Sushanta Deb, Sagar Nama, Jewel Miah, Bapan Miah and Babul Miah of Madhupur. Police also recovered all snatched mobile phones and Rs. 5010 cash under the possession of these miscreants and arrested them.
