Senior Account officer of AG found dead in mysterious condition
In a mysterious incident, one senior account officer of the Account General office in Agartala was found dead, when he jumped from the top roof of the office building on Thursday.
Police sources said that after an emergency call, police and firefighters rushed to the AG office in Agartala on Thursday and found one senior account officer, identified as Gopal Debnath, at the ground of a multi-storey office building in a pool of blood. They immediately shifted him to GB Hospital, where the visiting doctor declared him brought dead.
Police added that they have registered an unnatural death (UD) case and started investigation, whether deceased Gopal Debnath committed suicide or any other reasons behind his death.
Sources in the AG office said that all the staff and officers of AG office in Agartala were busy with inter-zonal carrom tournament among AG employees and all of sudden they heard that one man jumped from a top floor of the office building.
Amidst hue and cry, the employees of the office found that their senior account officer, Gopal Debnath engaged in the pensioner cell was in the ground in a pool of blood.
The secretary of AG, Partha Sarathi Chakraborty said that they were not aware over the reason of his suspected suicide and he also not ruled out any suspicious activities over the death of Gopal Debnath.
He said that top officials of the AG office has requested the police to conduct a proper investigation to unearth the actual reason for the death of their senior account officer.
While, police said that they initiated an investigation and presently verifying all aspects whether it was a suicide or the deceased man was dashed from the roof of the building?
