Six IAS officers transferred including two DMs

In a minor administrative reshuffle, few district magistrates (DMs) of the state were transferred including reshuffle of six senior IAS officers.

As per the notification issued by the General Administration (Personnel and Training) department of the state said that senior IAS officer L H Darlong has been posted as Principal Secretary for Chief Minister and after his leave period , he will join the post.

Incumbent District Magistrate (DM) of Dhalai district L T Darlong has been transferred and posted as secretary of the state government and on assumption, Darlong will hold the charge of Tribal Welfare department and with additional charges of Director of Tribal Welfare department.

The director of Social Welfare and Social Education, Dr Siddhartha Shiv Jaiswal has been transferred as new District Magistrate (DM) of Dhalai district.

The DM of Unakoti district Uttam Kumar Chakma has been transferred and posted as secretary of the state government and Dr Vishal Kumar, the present director of Tribal Welfare department has been transferred as new DM for Unakoti district.

The notification added that on expiry of child care leave, IAS officer Smt. Smitha Mol is posted as new director of the Social Welfare and Social Education department and she will also hold the additional charges of CEO, TRLM and Mission Director of NULM, Agartala.
