Skeptic man brutally injured his wife, daughter-in-law with sharp weapon at Sonamura

In a brutal incident, a skeptic man seriously injured his wife and daughter-in-law with sharp weapon by hacking at West Durlav Narayan village under Sonamura police station of Sepahijala district on Thursday.
Sources said that accused man, Narul Islam (50), who was working abroad and after returning to his native village West Durlav Narayan village had often engaged in quarreling with his wife over doubt of extramarital affairs and with his daughter-in-law over financial irregularities.
On Thursday morning, all of sudden Narul Islam became berserk after a skirmish with them and with a sharp weapon, he started indiscriminate attacks on both ladies. As a result, his wife Khusnehara Begum and daughter-in-law, Salma Aktar suffered critical injuries in different parts of their bodies including heads and faces.
Amidst hue and cry, neighbours and other villagers rushed to the spot and with help of firefighters, both injured women were shifted to Melaghar hospital. After primary treatment, bnoth injured ladies were referred to GB Hospital as their conditions started deteriorating.
After the incident was reported, police personnel from Sonamura police station rushed to the spot and started an investigation. Police also launched a search operation to arrest escaped Narul Islam. The incident created panic across West Durlav Narayan village.
