Special Lok Adalat week and pre-Lok Adalat conciliation process begin
The Supreme Court has initiated a special Lok Adalat week from July 29 to August 3, 2024, to address pending cases and facilitate their speedy disposal.
As part of this initiative, 34 cases from Tripura have been taken up for hearing. In preparation for the final hearings, the Tripura State Legal Service Authority (TSLSA) has commenced the pre-Lok Adalat conciliation process from Tuesday.
This process will continue until July 10 at the offices of the South District Legal Service Authority, West District Legal Service Authority, and the High Court Legal Service Committee. Notices have already been sent to all parties involved in the cases. To accommodate participants, there is an option to attend the
pre-Lok Adalat conciliation hearings via video conference if necessary. Jhuma Dutta Chowdhury, member secretary of the Tripura State Legal Service Authority urged the notified individuals to attend the relevant office and benefit from the Lok Adalat proceedings.
