Speeding bike riding, one minor killed, two seriously injured
In a tragic road mishap, three class-ten students in a motorbike collided face on with another speeding bike at Budhjungnagar area, at the outskirts of Agartala on Wednesday morning and among them one died on the spot and two other suffered critical injuries.
Police sources said that three classmates and friends, Abdul Mahin, Imran Miah and Rudra Sarkar, all students of class-Ten of Indranagar Noyagoan Higher Secondary School under West Tripura district after their private tuition went to gas battling site of Budhjungnagar industrial area fort site scene on Wednesday morning.
On way to their homes in Nayanimura area of Indranagar, bike rider Abdul Mahin along with his two pillion riders Imran Miah and Rudra Sarkar in heavy speed collided with another motorbike from their opposite direction at Budhjungnagar area.
After hearing the heavy sound of crush, some local people rushed to the spot and shifted three injured youths to GB Hospital through an auto-rickshaw. Among them, Imran Miah , son of Rupak Miah of Nayanimura was declared dead by a visiting doctor and two other injured youths including bike rider Abdul Mahin and Rudra Sarkar with multiple injuries and fractures in their legs and hands were admitted to GB Hospital.
Police said that after autopsy, the mortal remains of deceased Imran Miah (16) were handed over to his relatives for last rites and claimed that road mishap occurred due to reckless and speeding driving. Moreover, none of the bike rider and his pillion riders were not wear helmets.
