Startup Tripura has joined hands with Skyroot Aerospace to connect young engineers, students and aspiring innovators from Tripura and the wider Northeast with opportunities in India’s growing private space sector.
The initiative, titled “Skyroot for North East Talent,” aims to identify, encourage and connect talented individuals from the region with career and professional opportunities in aerospace and space technology.
Highlighting the potential of the region’s young talent, the campaign carries the message, “The next Indian rocket may be built by engineers from Agartala.”
Startup Tripura said the collaboration with Skyroot Aerospace will create a direct channel for students and technical professionals in the Northeast to explore opportunities with one of India’s private rocket-development companies.
The initiative is also aimed at expanding career opportunities beyond conventional employment by promoting innovation, entrepreneurship and advanced-technology careers among the region’s youth.
The campaign seeks to encourage young people to translate their academic knowledge and technical skills into contributions to India’s growing space-tech ecosystem.
Potential opportunities may include aerospace engineering, rocket propulsion, avionics, software systems, satellite technologies, testing and manufacturing.

The initiative is expected to raise awareness about emerging opportunities in India’s private space sector while strengthening efforts to position Tripura and Northeast youth as contributors to the country’s technology and innovation-driven economy.
