The Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) on Thursday announced the results of the Madhyamik (Secondary) and Higher Secondary Save-a-Year examinations ( Bachar Bachao), completing the examination process for the 2026 academic session.
The results were declared during a press conference held at the TBSE auditorium in the presence of Board president Dr. Dhananjoy Gan Chowdhury, Secretary Dr Joydeep Bhattacharya, and Officer on Special Duty (OSD) Nil Madhab Saha.
Following the publication of the Save-a-Year examination results, the overall pass percentage in the Madhyamik examination increased from 84.18% to 84.93%, with 239 candidates successfully clearing the examination.
In the Higher Secondary examination, 350 candidates passed the save-a-year examination, raising the overall pass percentage from 79.33% to 80.65%.
The Board also informed that 292 schools recorded a 100% pass rate in the Madhyamik examination, while 66 schools achieved a 100% pass rate in the Higher Secondary examination.
In the standard Mathematics paper of the Madhyamik examination, 39 candidates appeared for the examination, of whom 36 successfully passed.
With the declaration of the Save-a-Year examination results on July 30 (Thursday), TBSE has formally concluded all examination-related processes for the current academic year.
