Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha along with BJP run all state Chief Ministers will participate in the grand oath taking ceremony of designated West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari at Brigade Parade ground in Kolkata on Saturday morning.
Chief Minister Dr Saha on Friday evening already reached Kolkata and will join the mega ceremony on Saturday morning.
The oath ceremony of the new cabinet administered by the Governor will be conducted at 10 AM on the day that marks the birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore in presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah with senior BJP leaders, union ministers and chief ministers of different states. The list of attendees for Adhikari’s oath-taking ceremony also includes several senior leaders from across the country.
On Friday afternoon Bharatiya Janata Party leader Suvendhu Adhikari was elected the BJP Legislative Party Leader for the party in West Bengal and is set to become the first BJP Chief Minister in the history of the state.
Adhikari contested from Nandigram and Bhabhanipur, beating outgoing Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee from her stronghold in Bhabanipur by a margin of over 15,000 votes.
The list of attendees for Adhikari’s oath-taking ceremony includes several senior leaders from across the country.
Sources said that Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, and Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu have already arrived in Kolkata.
