Tripura CM meets PM, discusses state’s developmental issues
Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Saturday.
The Chief Minister apprised the Prime Minister of various on-going development works and future plans in Tripura as well as discussed other important issues including international flight connectivity with Bangladesh, Agartala-Akhaura rail link project, commencement of services through Bharat-Bangla Maitri Setu and Highway infrastructure.
The Chief Minister greeted the Prime Minister for successfully holding the G20 Presidency and took his guidance for overall development of the state. Dr Saha also conveyed birthday greetings to the Prime Minister in advance. The Prime Minister’s birthday is on September 17.
Later the Chief Minister wrote on twitter, “Extremely honoured to have met Pradhan Sevak of Bharat Adaraniya Shri Narendra Modi Ji in New Delhi today. Congratulated the Hon'ble PM for successfully holding the G20 Presidency & also received his guidance for the overall development of Tripura. His encouragement has always been the guiding light for me, in delivering good governance up to the last mile in society.”
During the meeting, Dr Saha conveyed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his continuous support and guidance towards the development of Tripura.
The Chief Minister in the meeting has highlighted the remarkable progress made in various sectors including education, healthcare, infrastructure, and economic growth, all of which have positively impacted the lives of citizens in the state.
They held discussions on a range of topics including economic development, investment opportunities, agriculture, healthcare, and environmental conservation.
The Chief Minister apprised the Prime Minister that the Tripura government has taken several initiatives to encourage investment in the state’s industrial sector. He also said, the investors from various parts of the state are also showing keen interest for investing in Tripura, as the present state government developed an industry-friendly atmosphere.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister expressed his satisfaction for historic win in the bye-elections recently held in Boxanagar and Dhanpur assembly constituencies of Tripura.
