Tripura Left Front Committee to launch statewide movements against govt

Tripura Left Front Committee in a meeting on Monday expressed their serious concern over alleged deteriorating law and order situation of the state along women abuse, murder, rape, which are almost daily incidents.
The Left Front Committee through a press statement claimed that the state government totally failed to provide security to the people of the state.
On the other hand, the number of drug abuse and dealers is increasing in parallel. There is no control. The entire state has become an empire of drugs. Recently, a railway wagon full of drugs was seized at Jirania railway station, said the LF statement and added that a show-off investigation is done and the steps are being taken to suppress the incidents.
The Left Front Committee is demanding proper investigation by skilled officers to identify, arrest and punish the criminals.
They alleged that there is no work arrangement in the state. Thousands of youth are migrating to other states in search of work. Lack of work and income has led to food shortage. Once again, in the Gandacherra, the parents have sold their most beloved child, who is only 7 days old, for ten thousand rupees in the face of poverty.
The Left Front Committee is demanding proper arrangements of jobs for rural people across the state to protect against starvation. Arrangements should be made to pay wages along with the work. The government should take responsibility for immediately returning the sold child to its mother.
While, highlighting violence created by Citizen Forum of Tipra-Motha Party (TMP), the LF statement said that on October 23, under the direct support of Tipra Motha, a bandh in the name of Citizen Forum, where arson, vandalism and looting of cars, houses and shops were carried out in violence at Santirbazar area of Kamalpur subdivision under Dhalai district.
‘Several people, including a police officer, BDO of Salema and an engineer, were seriously injured and are undergoing treatment at GB Hospital. The bandh called was provocative with the aim of destroying the unity of castes and tribes and disrupting peace’, said the statement.
On the other hand, the BJP party is also doing the politics of Hindu-Muslim division in the name of Hindutva. All these incidents are just an attempt to divert people's attention from the serious problems of public life raised by the opposition recently, said the Left Front Committee and appealed to the people to come forward against these communal parties.
At the same time, it is calling on the people of all sections to be alert about the political power of this division to maintain peace and harmony. The government should take responsibility for the treatment of the injured in the recent Kamalpur peace rally and compensation for the victims. The Left Front Committee condemns the brutal police lathicharge on the peaceful protest of students demanding a teacher in Ramraibari, Santir Bazar subdivision.
Recently, even after a government minister Sudhanshu Das made a statement admitting to taking bribes, the Chief Minister and the ruling party are condemning the failure to take any action against him, said the statement and demanded that he be immediately dismissed from the cabinet.
The LF committee decided to launch a statewide movement on the above issues in the Left Front Committee meeting. Left Front State Committee Convener Manik Dey, CPI (M) Central Committee Member Naresh Jamatia, CPI State Council Secretary Milan Baidya, Dipak Deb on behalf of RSP, Forward Bloc Secretary Paresh Sarkar and Ashish Bhattacharya were present in today's meeting of the Left Front Committee.
