The 15 Tripura Battalion NCC enthusiastically celebrated the 12th International Yoga Day at Heritage Park, Agartala, on Sunday. The event witnessed the active participation of more than 80 NCC cadets, along with Senior JCOs, PI Staff, ANOs, and senior cadets.
The programme commenced with a brief address highlighting the importance of yoga in maintaining physical fitness, mental well-being, and emotional balance. The participants then performed various yoga asanas and breathing exercises in accordance with the Common Yoga Protocol.
A special attraction of the event was the presence of a national-level girl yoga champion, who demonstrated advanced yoga postures and inspired the cadets with her dedication and achievements in the field of yoga.
Senior officials of the battalion encouraged the cadets to adopt yoga as a regular practice to lead a disciplined, healthy, and stress-free life. They emphasized that yoga not only enhances physical fitness but also develops concentration, self-control, and inner strength among the youth.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and a collective pledge to promote yoga and its benefits among society. The celebration reflected the NCC's commitment towards building a healthy and disciplined generation through the timeless practice of yoga.
