Tripura Police Week: Dhruba Nath received ‘policeman of the year-2024’ award
The celebration of the Police Week-2025 has ended after a parade by police and TSR jawans at Manoranjan Debbarma Smriti stadium in AD Nagar police line in Agartala on Thursday, where Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha handed over ‘Policeman of the year’ award to Dhruba Nath, additional SP(Rural) of West Tripura district.
Retired police Inspector Kajal Ghosh has been awarded with ‘Lifetime Achiever of Tripura Police Award’ and Sub-Inspector (SI) of North Tripura district, Sanjay Majumder has been awarded with ‘Best Investigator of the year’.
Best policemen and police station, TSR battalions’ awards and trophies’ were distributed under different categories during the ceremony. The Chief Minister also awarded ‘Best police station of Tripura in the use of technology’ to the New Capital Complex police station. Kamalpur police station of Dhalai district has been awarded with ‘Best police station for Beat system’ and Birganj police station of Gomati district and Damcherra police station of North Tripura district awarded as ‘Best police station’.
Dhalai district received the award for ‘Best District for Beat System’ and KTDS police training academy of Narsingarh under West Tripura district got the award of ‘Best unit of Tripura Police in the use of technology’.
TSR’s 3rd battalion was given the award of ‘best TSR battalion of the year-2024’ and Gomati district received the award for ‘Best District-2024’.
Nayab Subedar (Clerk) Bipul Karjee of 7th battalion TSR got the award of ‘Best Clerical staff for TSR battalions’ and Uttam Biswas, head clerk cum accountant of SB organization got the award for ;Best Clerical staff from Civil Police Units’.
During the programme DGP Amitabh Ranjan has awarded the “DGP’s Commendation Disc-2024” to many persons of various ranks of Tripura police. The Chief Minister also distributed the “Chief Minister’s Meritorious Reward” for the academic year 2023-2024 to few students of police families for their outstanding results during the said academic year.
