Tripura police week: Jayanta Karmakar to receive ‘policeman of the year-2025’ award

Before the celebration of the Police Week-2025, Tripura police on Saturday announced the list of award winners and this year ‘Policeman of the year-2025’ award will be given to Jayanta Karmakar, SDPO of Dharmanagar subdivision and the trophy and certificate will be presented to him by the Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on February 25 next during the celebration of the day at Manoranjan Debbarma Smriti stadium in AD Nagar police line in Agartala.

Police headquarters through a press statement said that Smt Arpita Deb, UD Clerk of police headquarters has been selected for the award of “Best Clerical Staff for the year 2025” and Nayeb Subedhar (clerk) Kumar Sunil Gupta has been selected for the award of the ‘Best clerical staff for the year-2025’ from TSR battalions.

Police Sub-Inspector (SI) Subhajit Deb , incumbent OC of Battala town outpost has been selected for the award of ‘Best Investigator of the year-2025’.

As per the list of awardees, the Sabroom police station  of South Tripura district has been adjudged as the ‘Best police station of Tripura in the use of Technology for the year 2025’ and Kailashahar police station of Unakoti district has been adjudged as he ‘Best police station for beat system for the year-2025’, whereas the Sonamura police station of Sepahijala district has been adjudged as the ‘Best police station for the year-2025’.

North Tripura district has been adjudged as the ‘Best district for beat system of the year-2025’ and Tripura police Crime Branch has been adjudged as the ‘Best unit of Tripura police in the use of technology for the year 2025’.

The 7th battalion of TSR has been adjudged as the ‘Best TSR battalion for the year-2025’ and the West Tripura district has been adjudged as the ‘Best district for the year-2025’

Police sources said that during the celebration of Tripura Police Week on February 25, DGP Anurag Dhankar will give the award of the “DGP’s Commendation Disc-2025” to many persons of various ranks of Tripura police.
