Tripura wins ‘Bhoomi Samman Platinum’ award for digital India land record modernization programme
Tripura government has achieved a major success by winning an award in the work on digitization and for Digital India Land Records Modernization works, the state got “Bhumi Sanman Platinum Award-2023’ for achievement in six subjects.
For the current year the state has been conferred the ‘Platinum Certificate’ by the government of India’s ministry of Rural Development and Land Records ‘in recognition of outstanding work done by achieving saturation in implementation of components of Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme. The award has been given for computerization of land records, digitization of cadastral maps / FMBs, Linkage of ROR with cadastral maps, computerization of registration , Integration of registration with land records and for setting up modern record room and among eight districts of Tripura, seven districts received the award.
The districts that have achieved cent percent success in these fields of work are Dhalai, Gomati, Khowai, Sepahijala, South Tripura, Unakoti and West Tripura.
Tripura was awarded along with 75 other top-achieving districts of the state. Ajay Tirkey , secretary in the department of Land Records etc in the central government said ‘the department of land resources appreciates the excellent efforts of the state of Tripura’. The state government has conveyed its gratitude to the union government for the prize and certificate in land governance.
During the programme, the Principal Secretary of Revenue department Punit Agarwal received the award from state government and seven district magistrates (DMs) of Tripura including Debapriya Burdan (West), Dilip Kumar Chakma of Khowai district, Dr Siddhartha Shiv Jaiswal of Dhalai district, Tarit Kanti Chakma of Unakoti district, Mayur Ratilal Gavekar of Gomati district, Saju Vahid of South Tripura and on behalf of Vishal Kumar, the DM of Sepahijala district, Rantajit Debbarma, the director of Land Reforms department were also received the award.
