The written examination for recruitment to the post of Manager for degree and diploma holders of Electrical and Mechanical departments was successfully conducted on Sunday by the Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited (TSECL). A total of 2555 candidates were registered for the examination conducted for Grade-A and Grade-B posts combined. Out of them, 2166 candidates appeared in the examination while 389 remained absent.

The examination was held in two shifts. In the first shift, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, examinations were conducted for the posts of Manager (Electrical), Grade-A and Manager (Mechanical), Grade-B. The total number of candidates in this shift was 1275, of which 1085 appeared and 190 remained absent. It is noteworthy that for the post of Manager (Electrical), Grade-A, a total of 1162 candidates had applied. Among them, 997 appeared in the examination while 165 remained absent. On the other hand, for the post of Manager (Mechanical), Grade-B, there were 113 candidates, of whom 88 appeared and 25 were absent.

In the second shift, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, examinations were held for the posts of Manager (Mechanical), Grade-A and Manager (Electrical), Grade-B. In this shift, the total number of candidates was 1280. Among them, 1081 appeared while 199 remained absent. According to the statistics, for the post of Manager (Mechanical), Grade-A, there were 353 candidates in total, of whom 252 appeared and 101 remained absent. Meanwhile, for the post of Manager (Electrical), Grade-B, 927 candidates had applied. Out of them, 829 appeared in the examination while 98 remained absent.

Managing Director of Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited (TSECL), Biswajit Basu, stated that the corporation is giving special importance to conducting the entire recruitment process with utmost transparency and impartiality. Strict monitoring, adequate administrative arrangements, and a disciplined environment were maintained at every examination centre to ensure that candidates could appear for the examination without any inconvenience.

Meanwhile, it has been informed that the written examination for the posts of Manager (Civil), Grade-A and Grade-B will be held on May 17. TSECL is also preparing to conduct that examination in the same transparent and fair manner.
