Unknown body recovered under Jahar bridge, Agartala in mysteriously condition
A body of an unknown youth was recovered under ‘Jahar’ bridge of Battala area under West Agartala police station on Friday afternoon in mysterious condition.
Police sources said that some local people on Friday afternoon at about 3.15 PM informed police that a body of a youth has been seen under the Jahar Bridge. Immediately, police rushed to the spot and after seeing the condition of the spot, they also brought a State Forensic Laboratory (SFL) team and started investigation.
Police added that the identity of the deceased youth is yet to be established and all circumstantial evidence has been collected by the SFL team from the spot. Police suspected that deceased youth aged about 32 to 35 years might have died due to overdose of drugs as police have recovered some empty vials of drugs and no injury marks have not been found in the dead body.
Police also said that the actual reason of the death could be ascertained after reports of post-mortem and SFL and they will take action as per the evidence if there was any foul play over the death of the youth. While, police started an investigation to establish the identity of the deceased youth.
